Personal Thoughts
I am doing my teaching experience for Block B at Ogden Elementary school in the fourth grade. My cooperating teacher is Mr. Nobrega at first I was really anxious to see what it would be like to work with a male teacher. But I absolutely love working with him. He is very helpful and has great ideas. I like the Block B experience so much more then Block A because you actually get to develop some sort of relationship with the students and they are excited to see you everyday.
I am excited to start student teaching. I thought that I was going to stay around here and do my student teaching but things have changed. I am now going back to my home town of Ulysses Kansas. I do not know if I am excited about this experience just because it is going home. No one ever likes to go back home, but I will be saving a lot of money since I will be living at home. Which is a major plus that I need to keep in mind.

Whats Happening...
I think this would be a great way for teachers to keep in touch with parents. This way the parents cannot say that the students did not give them the message. I would keep this section of the blog updated every week so that parents can see what we are doing. I will also put the PE schedule for the week because I can remember when I was little I never remembered what day was PE. So my shoes and clothes sometimes were not the best for PE. I would also make sure to give the parents tips to help keep their students healthy.
Tips to keep kids healthy and prevent the common cold:
~try to steer clear of anyone who smokes or who has a cold. Virus particles can travel up to 12 feet through the air when someone with a cold coughs or sneezes, and secondhand smoke can make your child more likely to get sick.
~wash their hands thoroughly and frequently, especially after blowing their noses
~cover their noses and mouths when coughing or sneezing (have them sneeze or cough into a shirtsleeve, though, not their hands — this helps prevent the spread of germs)
~not use the same towels or eating utensils as someone who has a cold. They also shouldn't drink from the same glass, can, or bottle as anyone else — you never know who might be about to come down with a cold and is already spreading the virus.
~Do not pick up other people's used tissues
